Sejr Volmer-Sørensen

Danish pianist, theater entrepreneur and manager, TV-host and lyricist (1914-1982). Educated as a classical pianist he gave concerts from 1934 in Denmark and abroad but soon started managing cabarets, a.o. Riddersalen and Hornbækrevyen. In the early days of Danish television he became a popular TV-host, hosting a.o. the Danish finals for the European Song Contests a number of times. He even wrote lyrics for several contenders including the 1963 international winner, "Dansevise". In 1968 he married Grethe Sønck.
