Songwriter, pianist & producer, Bob Miller became a professional pianist in 1905. He published his first song in 1906. In 1915 he became the pianist for the Steamer Idlewild Orchestra on showboats. He moved to New York in the 1920's where he worked as an arranger for the Irving Berlin Company. In 1933 he formed the Bob Miller Publishing Company.

He wrote almost all Shelby Darnell including his famous one "There's A Star Splangled Banner Waving Somewhere"; President Franklin Roosevelt invited him to the White House in '42 to perform the song.
