Ned Claflin

Ned Claflin is a multi-talented musician,singer, songwriter and lyricist whose time-honored credits extend from Jerry Lee Lewis, Brenda Lee, K.D Lang and Madonna, to Jonathan Richman and most recently Martin Sexton and now his old friend, John Finbury. Ned is a polyglot who first visited Brazil in 1969. He speaks, writes and and thinks in Pourtuguese, as is evident in his beautifully nuanced lyrics on Imaginário. His work with Jonathan Richman was heard in the movie soundtrack for "There is Something About Mary" and his songwriting credits appear throughout the soundtrack for Warren Beatty's 1990 hit movie "Dick Tracy," including the song "I'm Following You" performed by Madonna and Warren Beatty in the movie and on Madonna's multi-platinum companion album "I'm Breathless."

During his many years in San Francisco Ned was a frequent performer with the A-Capella group "The Baltimores" and the punk rock band "The No-Sisters."
