John Breakell

John Breakell was born in Preston in 1953. After spending a couple of years in Australia in his early 20s, he returned to the North West and founded a small rehearsal room and studio in Manchester’s Northern Quarter by the name ‘Spirit Studios’.
Later he formed the UK’s first school dedicated to Sound Engineering and Music Production, helping people interested in the industry follow their ions and forge their careers. Breakell ed away in April 2024.
