Paul Waaktaar-Savoy

Guitarist, singer and songwriter, born on 06.09.1961 in Tonsenhagen, a district of Oslo, Norway as Pål Waaktaar Gamst.

His first band was called 'Black Days'. Later he played together with Fakkeltog' in 1981.

Since 21 December 1991 Paul is married with Lauren Waaktaar-Savoy.

After years of fighting the Anglophone media to correct the spelling of his first name, in 1994 he settled on a spelling of "Paul".
