Jazz pianist, composer, singer, b Brooklyn, 26 May 1928. In the mid 40's, while still in his teens, he began recording as a sideman with leaders like Lester Young, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw. In the 50's he also was a popular accompanist for singers like Peggy Lee, Tony Bennett, Lena Horne and Carmen McRae, to name some.
Settled in Toronto, Canada in 1972.
