Robert "Bob" Lowden was an American composer, arranger, conductor, music educator and trombonist. From 1958 to 1968, Mr. Lowden was composer and chief arranger for the 101 Strings Orchestra, for which his credits appeared on more than 150 albums of popular music.
He arranged dozens of big band classics for publishers like Hal Leonard and J.W. Pepper. Lowden was one of the best known modern day composers and arrangers for big bands, jazz ensembles, orchestras and wind bands and a major contributor of musical arrangements for America’s college and high school performers. He has also written more than 400 advertising jingles.
