So-- I have a full set of the original runs 2008/9, which were sealed until recently. A note to everyone, if you are looking for these and they are still sealed - I would say the first 10 or so releases from at least the 2008 run came with lined paper inner sleeves that evidently had a glue with plasticizer. /proximity to vinyl will cause hazing. it *CAN BE* audible! don't let someone tell you otherwise. Not guaranteed every record has it, but if they are still sealed most likely there will be some hazing, clearly visible where the seams of the inners were touching the LP. If you have sealed copies of these you should open them and replace the inners to avoid further damage. After the first 10 or so records they switched to those slightly pinkish non paper sleeves. Those should be replaced too IMO as they feel a little tough/sticky, but they don't cause any hazing or other apparent issues.

As far as audibility -- I can hear it, it causes a little static-y background noise in the parts with the most hazing. Fortunately it is mostly at the beginning of tracks, and these are blue notes, so there is generally a lot of cymbal work :-) thus it is not especially bad. I would say it makes these VG though if being strict about grading. Some records have more or less of the hazing, depending on how they were sitting in the original inner sleeves. Some you can see like a square of the seams with heaving in four places, some just a little, some none. Not every hazing mark is audible.

All that said, these are amazing sounding records.
