Ut Pictura Musica

Series focused on « medieval, renaissance and baroque » music, but also incorporated « classical, romantic, modern & contemporary » works. The series consists of 200 CD's named Alpha 001 to Alpha 200 and are all issued in a luxurious 6- (or more) digipak with covers of a painting & details of a painting. They are all issued with at least 1 extensive booklet in French and English, sometimes with an additional language (Italian, Spanish, German, etc.). The series motto is: 'Ut Pictura Musica' or Music Is Painting and Painting Is Music. In this series also some reissues have seen the light, mainly for marketing purposes with a catalog attached to the digipak. And also some box-sets with reissues have appeared. These reissues and box-sets bear the catalog numbers Alpha 8XX and Alpha 9XX.
