Madfish...the champions of horrible mastering. I can't speak for their vinyl records, but their CDs are super bassy and muddy. They boost the bass and low mids like crazy and reduce the upper mids and treble. Super awkward sounding and overall mediocre. It's a shame that they put out such rare material and make it sound so much worse than it could...

Madfish has been reissuing most of the classic W.A.S.P. back catalogue.

Anyone know what the mastering sources are or care to comment on the sound / pressing quality?

Thank you very much for the represses on Ozric Tentacles albums. They all sound explicit !! Great pressings - Great sleeves. Thank god there is Madfish !! Respect.

i have two madfish vinyl that both sound borderline defective in places, anyone else have similar problems ?
