The now defunct Mexican label, Discos GAS was founded in 1971 by Guillermo Acosta Segura, who was artistic director of Discos Musart. As an "independent" label, he included in its catalog figures such as Carlos Lico, the rock group Megaton, Sonora Veracruz by Pepe Vallejo, Amalia Mendoza, Yolanda del Río, Raúl Irigoyén, Alberto Vazquez, Gilberto Valenzuela "El Sahuaripa", Roberto Ledesma, Imelda Miller, Virginia Lopez, and Manolo Muñoz.

Some labels are also shown as Gas with same color scheme.

    Discos gas and gas records are obviously the same label operating both sides of the border. Maybe discos gas should be used for mexican releases and gas records (6) for the american ones.
