Houston Records

Profile:

Houston Records, Ltd. / Houston Records Media Service is a full service CD replicator / DVD replicator with graphic design services, printing and packaging all in one location.

In 1958 Gasper Puccio bought record presses from Peacock Records and Duke Records owner Don Robey and established Houston Records.
Puccio renewed and enhanced the pressing capabilities and operated 20 fully automated Lened 7" and 12 fully automated Lened 12" presses (as of 1971).
In the late 1990s, all record pressing activities ceased.

Disc cutting and plating were outsourced. This is reflected in the matrices with e.g. AIH-, GH-, LH-, SH-, etc., followed by 3 to 7 digits (7"s only):
AIH = Lacquer Cut At - Houston Records
GH = Mastered At - Houston Records
LH = Lacquer Cut At - Houston Records
LIH = Lacquer Cut At - Houston Records
SH = Mastered At - Houston Records

Other (so far unknown) initials are: NIH.
