Nice instrumental jazz/funk record. Dynamic sound quality with DEEP bass, might be my new test record for bass. One of them anyway

Your album may not have been an authorized reissue by Mainstream Records. The only releases have been on CD and in Japan and the scorpio releases should have stopped around 2005. I work for Mainstream Records.

Edited one year agoBought mine July 2022. Rainbo stopped pressing in 2019 so i dont know if this was ed to URP but its very likely. These SCORPIO reissues dont inspire confidence.... major warps, non fills, bubbled labels and grime, dirt, scuffs are common. Many are rejected. This one for me however just about makes it past my above average standards.... slightly warped and just in need of a Degritting it plays well enough, if still looking abit rough. Mastering is acceptable. I would LOVE an AAA Kevin Gray Tone Poet style reissue for £30 but at £15 this will do for now!

referencing Graffiti Blues (CD, Album, Reissue) 474414 2
the 8-page booklet has on page 4 and 5 liner notes from a Dizzy Gillespie record, written by Don Heckman. It looks like a misprint to me, although I don't know if all versions of this Mainstream CD have it. But I presume the original liner notes to the Blue Miotchell CD , who start at page 3, are not by Don Heckman, but by Leonard Feather, as mentioned on page 6 of the booklet.
