Great songwriting. Note the mix is very mid-low end heavy. No sparkling highs or separation between the instruments.

I was so happy to see this! I have no idea the provenance on this cut. I have an OG and a Japanese remaster on CD. I have to say this doesn't disappoint! Right off the bat, "With My Face On The Floor" jumps out of the speakers. You can really hear the electric guitar and piano. The rest of the record brings a lot of the same thrills. Granted this is not a high fidelity record. And I always thought the bass way too loud on songs like "No Time No See" but it also wraps around you like a comforting blanket. Integral Records did a great job here on one of my all time favorite albums.

My copy is identical to this in relation to the center labels and runouts, except for the "RE-2" listed on this release. Mine has a faint "T S M" on both sides. Also not sure how this is considered a 1971 reissue since there's no indication anywhere that it wasn't from 1970 like the others.

Possibly the best LP that you can still easily find for a buck at the local junkshop. You Should Be Ashamed is the best song Paul McCartney never wrote.

A real gem of early 70s psych-power-pop. If you love Lennon/McCartney, Brian Wilson and Pete Ham, I promise you this record will not disappoint. Emitt struck gold here on this record. And he played every instrument! Interestingly enough, I've found this to be a fairly elusive record, especially in decent shape, but it's not one that will run you much money either. I got a minty first US pressing for a mere 15 bucks.

Instead of that rather mediocre guy William Shepherd (or however his name really is) THIS excellent musician should have replaced Paul McCartney who vanished from the Beatles in 1966 secretly and mysteriously (no, it was NOT a car accident!). Brillant Baroque Pop, every song a little jewel!

Beautiful well crafted pop. Any Beatles fan, and specifically Macca, circa 1968 to 1970, will find this LP familiar ground.
Found my copy virtually unplayed, plays like a dream!

There are a few 100 thousand of these out there still, I believe. You could find it cheap at a thrift store, or even a brick and mortar record store. Collectors have raved about it forever and for good reason. You probably already know all about ER if you're reading this. Absolutely great early 70s Badfinger/Beatles-esque songs, no hyperbole.

Finally found a copy today of this elusive album. A fantastic pressing, dynamic and crisp sounding, even after all these years!!
