Sounds awesome… no surface noise or pops and tics. If this had been sold as a legit LP I wouldn’t have known any better… lol.

Still… I hope an “authentic” reissue happens — with proper bonus tracks instead of an interview.

I concur with the other reviews, this is a great pressing for an unofficial release. I guess the source music would have been CD/digital? Nonetheless, it sounds great, has decent separation of the various instruments. I probably could have done without the bonus interview material at the end of the album on side D.

Agree wholeheartedly with upsbucky. Just working my way through for time number less than 10 and I really, really dig the songs and the quality, but Contraband is as if not slightly stronger. The recording is excellent. Glad I reached out and found someone.

Let me be the first to review this album for those interested in seeking out and purchasing it. Libertad, the second and final release from the supergroup led by Scott Weiland and Slash is making it's vinyl debut all be it as an unofficial which means the sale of this will probably eventually be scrapped from Discogs. The artwork is decent but does not replicate the foil cover from the original CD and comes in a single non gatefold sleeve and includes a small promo poster of the album cover. The records themselves are bright opaque red with sharp looking legible labels and artwork only on side A so the music starts on side B. As far as the audio this has always been a loud grungy midrange heavy album and that doesn't change here so expect a CD on vinyl. Even the back artwork says enhanced CD on the track listing. The adherent pops and clicks along with noise in between tracks that often plagues a boot or colored vinyl are not apparent here. IMHO I don't feel the songs are as strong as on Contraband but the band may think differently after listening to the album closing documentary. Bootleg pressings have come a long ways in the last few years, enough anyways for some of us to buy them since we don't know when or if certain titles will ever be reissued. Some have been decent enough to stick with even if a reissue comes along. Put it this way, if you bought this in a store and opened it up and played it you wouldn't know it's a boot other than not having the barcode on it.
