Tom Waits – The Heart Of Saturday Night

i mildly dislike something about the original mastering of this disc, i'm not sure what.

pick up the 2018 CD, even with the compression used in places.

This disc has 10000x better graphic design though.

Sounds great. You can hear low volume clicks between tracks but nothing more than the usual. The noise floor is a little higher than usual, but it didn't bother me for this type of music and you don't notice it for 90% of the play-through anyways. Decent pressing IMO. The thing I didn't like is that there was a large area of very light surface drag marks from the factory. Nothing that affects sound though.

I have nothing to compare against, but this pressing sounds phenomenal. No surface noise, sounds like Tom is there in the room with you.

My copy is very good in of sound. I would recommend to have in a collection.

The pressing sounds stellar and it's dead quiet. However, the lack of a poly inner sleeve for a new record is cause for concern at any pricepoint

Dead silent and spectacular sound projection on this pressing, grab a copy while its still in the "affordable" price range

Does anybody know if this mastering is all analog like the 2018 Remaster of Mule Variations?

A great record with relaxing music, jazzy vibes and the feeling you’re hanging out in a nightclub in the 70’s in New York. Tom sings great on this record, and the songs, and sound are top notch. 5/5

Just re-found this in a charity box (replacing a stolen copy)...This has 'manufactured in the UK' and no timings for songs...early repress or first issue? label sez '74 sleeve '76.

Mine came without the stickers but is marked CB in the runouts. Soundstage is good
