Fooey! I don't think this is the new re-recorded version that Gary and Ade have supposedly finished 2 years ago. I think it is just a re-release of the same 2000 red vinyl 2-LP version that I have from Let Them Eat Vinyl. Except, this one is pressed at Optimal. Damn... Oh well, at least I got a good price ($25) instead of the $40+ it is usually going for. I sure hope it sounds better... 😕 -
Easily my favourite Gary Numan record, so very slightly biased, especially ing how incredible the live tour was for this album...
...that said, the pressing really is great. It seems to have been mixed just a little quiet to allow room for a bit less compression and it pays dividends. Everything sounds incredibly full and the dynamic range is great. Like another mentioned, I can hear little samples and keyboard parts on the vinyl version that I've never heard once on the CD.
Numan's vocals sound as good as ever, you can really pick out the emotion in his delivery. -
Excellent pressing! Makes up for the not so great mastering/pressing of Hybrid. -
Edited one year agoDecent press and certainly hear parts to the album I never head before (first time for me on vinyl). This was the peak of Numan's reinvention after the previous two albums Sacrifice and Exile. Was at the top of his game on the 2000 tour also.

Vinyl is in great shape, and double sleeve well put together. Sounds wise I'd agree with previous comment to say that this sounds so much better than my CD. Very happy with this. -
This sounds better than the CD I own.
This is not a 2000 release, but a 2023 re-release -
