i agree with the previous post, it generally sounds great. there is some audible surface noise but its not loud enough to mess with the tone or overall sound quality of the pressing. while I wish the pressing was a bit more dynamic, for the price I bought it for (on sale for 21 before tax, thanks mr bezos), I would almost consider it a steal. also, maybe its just my copy, but it looks closer to a milky clear than a true clear. -

Generally sounds great.
Sibilance, while not worth throwing away the record in frustration over, spoil some later moments.
The slower songs are easier to handle.
Awesome record, B- press/master -
Quality product, cover and inners are not blurry (unlike some "music on vinyl" represses) sound is great except some distortion at the end of side one on sh and s sounds. You can hear the adaptative compression they used to keep a relatively high volume, but an untrained hear will ear nothing
Until there's a 2LP reissue : buy with confidence,

in my opinion, the album sounds pretty good with no issues whatsoever! There are some crackle noises in between tracks, but I personally do not mind those. I love how the album has a gatefold with alternative artwork! :) -
Does anybody know when "Escapology" is going to be reissued?

Great album and great sound. Finally, this album is also available on vinyl. -
I have never heard the original CD release, but this LP is a poor release indeed. No depth, no bass, no real trebbles, everything in the mid range and a complete lack of dynamics. "Let me entertain you" sounds like it must have sounded on a poor FM set back in the day. This surely is not a vinyl master, sounds more like CD badly recorded to vinyl. A big disappointment -
Edited 3 years agoLife thru a lens and I've been expecting you are both great albums, but the sound is terrible considering they have been remastered at Abbey Road Studios - I've Been Expecting More! The artwork is great :-)
