Notes
The recording made at the Toronto Rock N Roll Revival in 1969 may be the most widely reproduced Alice Cooper live recording. It has been released by many different labels under many titles and many album covers. These releases are not authorized Alice Cooper albums. However, they are not bootlegs as the recording is owned by a private party. Unfortunately, the private party was so uncaring in the production of these releases that two of the songs ("Ain't That Just Like a Woman" and "Goin' to the River") are NOT Alice Cooper at all (the actual performer is Easy Action
Painting A Picture (No Longer Umpire)
An Instrumental (part of "Lay Down and Die, Goodbye")
I`ve Written Home To Mother (part of "Lay Down and Die, Goodbye")
Freak Out Song (Spiders - Don't Blow Your Mind with different lyrics)
Nobody Likes Me (aka Freak Out)
Science Fiction (Fields Of Regret)

The Hawkins songs have also made their way to a number of compilations, incorrectly credited to Alice Cooper.

I seeing this tape at meijer all the time back in the early 90s. It was a confusing album I never bought bc I never heard of those songs. -
Edited one year agoRecorded 1969-09-13 at The Toronto Rock And Roll Festival. There is no applause because this is a soundboard.
The titles on this CD (and others like it) are made up. The actual titles are:
1) No Longer Umpire
2) Don't Blow Your Mind
3) Nobody Likes Me
4) Lay Down And Die, Goodbye (part 2)
5) Lay Down And Die, Goodbye (part 1 instrumental)
6) Fields Of Regret
On the end are two studio tracks recorded 1964 by Ronnie Hawkins & The Disciples (Robbie Lane's group) at Toronto's Hallmark Studios. Historians suggest that those songs were on the tape when it was purchased by the third party that has been licensing it to myriad labels since 1982. No one ever thought to check whether all the songs were by Alice Cooper. -
Probably a bit of a shot in the dark for a record that's hardly reviewed and not been sold in 6 years but has anyone got any information about this record? I'm trying to find some more about it but have come up a bit short. I can see that it's some kind of bootleg and that's about it. Not been sold on eBay in forever either. For a huge artist like Cooper it's kind of strange.

Edited 4 years agoPer Neal Smith, the title of the song commonly called "Freak Out Song" (of which approximately 16 minutes is missing here) is "Animal Pyjamas."

I know that this is written elsewhere, but it's worth repeating it here...
Unfortunately, the private party was so uncaring in the production of these releases that two of the songs ("Ain't That Just Like a Woman" and "Goin' to the River") are NOT Alice Cooper at all – the actual performer is Ronnie Hawkins and they were recorded at Hallmark Studios in Toronto in late 1964. Also, almost all of the song titles on the album were fabricated by the private party; the actual titles are mostly live versions of songs from their 1969 debut album, "Pretties For You".
