Squid (29) – Bright Green Field

Epic album - modern experimental rock masterpiece. Vinyl mastering is superior to what I hear on Spotify; much more open, dynamic and well balanced. The music comes out alive from my speakers. What a pleasure to hear modern records being mastered properly.

Discs were flat and noiseless.

This pressing is real punchy and clean. Very dynamic. Great stuff! The only issue like the other pressings have, is that the electronic hi-hats at the beginning of “Paddling” drop in and out when the vocals come in. Though this ends quickly when it switches to the quicker paced acoustic drums with the normal hi-hats. Otherwise everything is fire. It’s a minor thing that’s slightly distracting but if you aren’t paying attention doing other things you might miss it. If you’re listening actively you will definitely hear it. Otherwise everything else is straight fire. Lots of sounds to get lost into on this record. The translucent dark green colour is obviously very fitting as well. Bright Green Field of grooves!

FFF - The Fall trifft auf Foals trifft auf Feelies, was eigenes gemacht, sehr gut. Pressung und Sound sehr gut!!

I wonder if the dots between the lyrics in the gatefold mean anything. I thought it was morse code for a second, but they don't really make sense that way.

is this pressing any better than the others? I know there's some weird issues on the other pressings with Paddling and wondering if this is a different press or its the same as the others
