Great pressing, dead quite and vinyl feels solid and weight balanced. Sound good, maybe not much different then digital copy, but however, my ears like it.

Now THIS is a pressing!!! Sounds dead quiet. Packs a punch, and looks great on top of it all! I never would have expected the full 10 minute Mona Lisa Overdrive on Vinyl. Here it is! (Not to mention it's the only Mona Lisa Overdrive on vinyl period!)

May have jumped the gun on my review... Unfortunately my Disc 3 (Side 5) has quite a bit of distortion/surface noise in the first few minutes. Could be defective. Anyone else have any problems with Disc 3? Subtracted a star for that.

No insert on Reloaded. But then again it's kind of a trifold so everything is printed inside so need for an insert. Insert is included in Revolutions though which is neither a gatefold nor a trifold. Shame.

The Matrix Reloaded is the sequel to the super blockbuster movie The Matrix from 1999 and one of the largest such hits from 2003. The soundtrack consists of two CDs. On cd 1 is especially much hard rock to find, from the likes of Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, P.O.D., Deftones and Rage Against The Machine, alternating with dance. On cd 2 are the instrumental pieces from the movie and an ' enhanced ' area with previews and a ' making of '.

It was an interesting decision to release this album as a 2-disc set with the band contributions on one disc and the original score on the other. Usually the score would be given its own album release as most people only want one or the other. In the end though, I don't think the format worked too well. I sold my copy as I couldn't stand the thought of even possessing the first disc. If only they'd released it seperately! The 2nd disc is pure gold, while the first is just a bunch of 'cool' artists trying to do 'cool' songs.

The Don Davis/Juno Reactor collaborations are somewhat groundbreaking and a definite highlight. The concept has been tackled before (Michael Kamen and Orbital collaborated on the score for Event Horizon) but on The Matrix, is was done extremely well, providing the necessary punch for particular scences, but maintaing the musical identity and themes that Don Davis had set up with the rest of the score.
