Unfortunately, I can't play side B because the needle keeps jumping back to the same groove section in the middle of the 'Musique' track. When I set the anti-skating to 0, the needle no longer jumps back but forwards. To cut a long story short, the needle jumps on side B and the track is not playable :-(
It must be due to the pressing, visually there is nothing wrong! -

ten minutes of funk is supposed to be a da funk remix? not to me it doesn't but i don't give a crap because the song makes me da funk back to the punk! -

One of the best sounding 12" singles in my collection.
"Musique" is an early Daft Punk highlight and essential 👌 -

Musique is by far the most outstanding track that should have been on Homework. Never really liked anything after Alive 1997. DP were a better house duo in the early days. Thomas had mentioned that Homework is a compilation of singles when in fact it contradicts his story by not having Musique on the album. -

Quick fact: As per the listing notes, this 1st commercial UK pressing on Soma was issued in a red sleeve, with a slightly rough texture (like acid paper) & an orange tint. Highly iconic for this 12" which caused hysterior on the electronic & techno scene (along with 'The New Wave/Alive'), back when Thomas Bangalter & Guy De Homem- Christo were largely unknown.
When the red sleeves were all spent, they were replaced by plain black.
DP were then picked up by Virgin, no doubt part of their success due to management/marketing/production budget; however it was Stuart McMillan who 'Disco-vered' the duo & provided this insane introduction via Soma, which spread like wildfire.
Perhaps one of the strongest intro's of any band/group, which picked up a video by Spike Jonze for it's re-release on Virgin; Da Funk' remains the definitive sound of 1995 & for fans of the early Daft Punk sound. -

Musique is an outstanding track and I doubt that they have produced anything that could compete with it since. it was all a decline after that high mark. fabulously groovy song and I my first times hearing it. -
