Most of the early Sisters Of Mercy singles appear to have a single colour printed onto card that has a black base colour on the printing side. Alice would be no exception.
However these particular white print (supposedly misprint) sleeves appears to be printed onto card that has a white base colour on the printing side, and so an additional black 'masking' had to be added. There are problems with alignment of this black masking which leaves a white outline around some of the gold text, and that is something which would never work, or be acceptable, on the finely detailed front image.
(I do own both versions of this single to do the comparison). -

‚Alice‘ is of course an undisputed classic, but ‚Floorshow‘ is even better; more bass, more dirt, more groove, and a middle 8 featuring Eldritch screaming into a tape delay. What‘s not to like? -

My Holland copy has the B-side LABEL of Holland' Reptile House Ep

Maybe an ULTRARARE missprint!?
Cheers from Rome! -

My version has the correct center label on side A, however side AA has the label for MR023AA (The Reptile House EP). -

Evergreen goth dancefloor killer. " Alice " is the Sister's best known song , also their best executed one.
Alice came out in 1982 not like a HIT but rather like a statement!
The British New Wave movement had then a darker voice ,a deeper depth ,a broader ambition !
