Great pressing by MOV. As far as content of album, not one of my fav Upsetters. A strange hodgepodge of tracks & sounds. Not cohesive, very erratic flow. It’s as if each track came from separate projects.

DOUBLE SEVEN is a brilliantly bizarre album from Lee Perry and his pals. The production doesn't really sound like the classic Black Ark era of the mid/late 1970's, but it's got plenty of batshit crazy moments, with some interesting use of primitive synthesizers on several songs. Standout tracks include "Soul Man" (with Perry on vocals) and "Long Sentence". "Stick Together" by U Roy is based on Leo Graham's "Want A Wine". (As an aside, I really really really wish someone would put together a Leo Graham collection. Or let me do it, please. Please.) This Music On Vinyl 'silver' colored (it's gray) vinyl pressing sounds impressive, with a simple but very clear, full bodied, and dynamic stereo mix with plenty of oomph to the low end. My copy plays nice and clean with no surface noise of note.

Yeah this is insane. Fantastic pop free super clean pressing. Has an insane frequency range from the bass to the high end that’s nuts. Highly recommended. Also super super good vibes.

I got a copy with no sticker on the back, which should hide the wrong printed tracks. the wrong titels come from this record: https://discogs.sitiodesbloquea.com/master/219897-The-Silvertones-Silver-Bullets -

Great one, sounds like the one from the late 80's Trojan box set, without the noise old copies may have. Fantastic re-release!! -

A little bit less quality than the original, but a nice repress. Now they really care about doing a nice laquer-cut for vinyl with digital sources, that's why many of recent represses are better than ten years ago even if there are still issues with bad pressing plants (as busy as they are nowadays...) -

This release of The Upsetters classic "Double Seven" is another excellent reissue from Music on Vinyl in my opinion. The music sounds excellent and the pressing is solid with no flaws. Don't be shy to pick up a copy! -
This Reissue is a true pleasure! Great dynamics, fantastic warm sound and a groovy deep bass.
Could compare it to the first press. This one beats it! Get a great piece of creative and unconventional reggae music!
