Live album of the short-lived reunion of single) which was recorded in studio in Paris. The live recording was mixed by Daevid Allen in Deia in end-December 1977 or early January 1978.
The album was released during the second Planet Gong tour organised for March-April 1978. But Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth pulled out by late March and the band decided to revert back to the Here & Now moniker for the rest of the tour in April 1978, So when the 'Live Floating Anarchy" album was released, Planet Gong had ceased to exist
The album was first released simultaneously by LTM in (in a black & white sleeve) and Charly Records in the UK (in a colored sleeve). Original copies of the album urged buyers to pay no more than £1.50 or better still to steal it, and had a black and white drawing on the cover with the suggestion that the owner coloured it in. The version issued by Charly saw the price increased to £2.25 – though the extra 75p did mean the cover came in colour.
Since it’s release, “Live Floating Anarchy 1977” has reportedly sold tens of thousands of copies, but the band have never received any royalties.

Kif Kif Le Batteur, Here & Now’s drummer who is featured on this brilliant recording, also known as Keith Dobson, formed the fantastic band World Domination Enterprises as guitarist, singer and songwriter.
Not a lot of people know that! -
this is one of the best live recording of gong or any other band. after leaving gong, which became a excellent and unique jazz rock band with pierre moerlen, daevid allen toured with here&now and gilly smyth, also ex-gong, which is documented here.
this is a unique mix of space music, psychedelic and some punk vibes as well with ali baba as the highpoint, which is like psychedelic shoegaze on steroids. mindbending guitar work!
it is a combination of psychedic jams and really good songs like opium for the people with kind of indie vibes.
a favourite of my youth, this stands the test of time, sounds still fresh and original to my ears.
a mindblowing experience, totally unique and original. -

The copy appearing in the pics comes from a painter based in who seemed to have good connections as he had several promo/TP copies.
Not 100% sure then it is a proper TP. if someone got hints on this, happy to get those. -
