Queens Of The Stone Age – Lullabies To Paralyze

I thought I had this version since it was just recently created and I just got a copy yesterday but mine does not match this or the 2019 version. There’s no indication of who cut the lacquer for my press as there’s no initials in the deadwax, just a bunch of numbers. Appears it was pressed at PRP in Canada according to the made in Canada shrinkwrap stamp.

Oddly, mine has the two bonus songs on side C play back-to-back following The Blood Is Love. The credits on the sleeve reflect the proper order but the disc plays differently. I mean I’m not necessarily complaining—I, like many fans of the album, think Someone’s In The Wolf > The Blood Is Love is quite possibly the highlight of the record so having Infinity interrupt that sequence was a minor gripe with this otherwise great 2LP—but just find it a little confusing. Anyone else have this?

Okay so the pressing is excellent, through and through, but I’m kind of annoyed the bonus tracks are sporadically thrown in to the record and not just at the tail end like in every other format. Throws off the cohesion and such. At that point I’d rather to have a pressing without the bonus tracks.

Not the best separation to be honest. Maybe it could be seen as muddy? Lovely clean vinyl and poly sleeves though.

Sounds amazing! On par with Songs for the Deaf 2019 reissue. Huge soundstage and great dynamics. All the instruments cut through so well. The “muddy” guitar tone is intended and can sometimes be confused with compression.

What I absolutely loved about this reissue was how sometimes the guitar came out of my speakers. It’s almost like they were playing through an amp in my room.

The bonus tracks are superb as well! 100% recommend it.

Classic album from one this centuries greatest bands. This album deserves its place in anyone's collection.

Definitely too much (bad) distortion for my taste, especially on full tracks like "Medication" and "Little Sister". Might be a combination of a too hot (lavry gold clipped) master and a too hot cut. Also lacks top end. Unfortunately this is not the only BG record that has this issue. One of the more recent Neil Young Harvest re-issues sounded having the same issues (this was a Chris Bellmann cut though). I also that the "Little Sister" picture disc 7" was sounding even a lot worse.. Well, it had been 2005..

This pressing sounds fantastic. No noise on my copy at all. Fantastic dynamics and bass throughout. Favorite QOTSA album is just a bonus.

Picked this up from amazon and my runout is completely different.

Great sounding record. Disagree with it sounding muddy or flat. I found it to be very dynamic and definitely better than the CD.
