I saw the group on this tour and can testify to the level of devotion and ion of each and every musician gave to their performance. Too bad this was the last album the group would make worth Lyle's unworldly like creative input. It really is worth seeking out and seriously taking a good listen to.

In the long time guitarist Pat Metheny music makes, he has recorded many albums and us for many sides of his musicianship. He has a significant set of plates made with his trio, but also with awards rewarded solo albums, music for movies from Hollywood, duets with artists such as Charlie Haden and Jim Hall and collaborations with well-known people from the avant garde, such as Ornette Coleman and Steve Reich. On his eleventh studio album with his Group, there are major personnel changes to report. Of the six , there are three new: Richard Bona (vocals, percussion, acoustic guitar and fretless electric bass), Cuong Vu (trumpet, vocals), and Antonio Sanchez (drums) participate in Veterans Lyle Mays (keyboards), Steve Rodby (acoustic bass, cello), besides of course Pat Metheny (guitars and synthesizer guitars). The ingredients are, however, remained the same, with Metheny and Mays who together six tracks and Metheny themselves, which was good for the three other numbers. The music is as we are used to that of the PMG: intelligent multigelaagde mellow jazz of the highest level.
