The Jesus Lizard – Shot

Better than the real thing? Dunno, but this reissue looks good, has a sturdy packaging, good reproduction value on the artwork-side of things, and sounds powerful and dynamic. Finally, there is no reason anymore to pay insane collector's prices. I salute to Real Gone Music.

Hype sticker states there is a printed inner with lyrics. My copy did not have it. My OG copy does though. Anyone else not have the printed inner?

Great quality pressing. Record is flat, mastering is dynamic. Even includes a Mofi style inner sleeve; this needs to be the industry standard! I am pleasantly surprised after reading some bad press about Real Gone Music on this site.

I have a shot glass from the promo days of this album. It has the logo on it, and of course says "Shot"

The praise about this record is all true. They had two mixing engineers and an amazing mastering engineer all working on this to perfect it’s sound. Thats what the money from a major label debut will get you. These songs sound amazing on vinyl. Probably the best sounding J. Lizard record I own. The dynamics and clarity of this record are of amazing quality. Everything is crystal clear, well defined and oh so heavy. Fans of the Lizard will treasure this as an indulgent escapade of a bygone era.

I recently got this and this pressing is awesome! I was a bit skeptical when it would be coming with red vinyl but it holds up! The songs on this disc are some the best of The Jesus Lizard’s discography! Hopefully this gets a reissue in coming years!

Great recording! my coveted red vinyl copy sounds phenomenal. Really reminds me of seeing them at Stache's in Cols Ohio 89'-92. Paying through a Budgie phono tube pre amp (Chezch tubes) '78 Sony and 4x Polk tower speakers. Inspires :)

A difficult score, but you're going to need the Japanese import for the bonus track "Bad Guy", which is outstanding, and which they decided not to include on BANG...nor any other record or CD...
