Rush – Roll The Bones

I bought this vinyl hoping for an improved sound quality comparing to the tinny and flat sound of their original CD. And guess what? I got a record with tinny and flat sound. How was it possible to get the same results after "remastering"? Beats me.

I bought the record to enjoy the music but its sound did not impresse me. The sound of the original cd was much better. In my opinion, to my own stereo system, of course.

Great!!! Very dynamic sound. Love it, but bass sounds a bit low.

Great sounding record, very quiet without crackles and pops. Good separation of instruments- highly recommended. Much better sounding than streaming on Spotify.

My first copy had a factory blemish 1/4 inch deep scratch and the vinyl was a bit warped so I exchanged it. The second vinyl is perfect quality besides needing a cleaning. The sound is bright and clear with lots of low end. Quiet vinyl with no noise between tracks. In my opinion it’s more dynamic sounding than the CD. I’m glad I got a good pressing.

How this sounds? And how limited it is? Thank you.

Happy to finally have a copy of this. Sound is good - record is flat. See some evidence of under-fill on the disc ( mottling in a few spots, seems to be inaudible ). I really wish they had went with 180 gram -- this is 140 at best, I have not weighed it. Something that sounds like faint repeating lathe / bearing noise in the silent ages. I don't hear this on other albums, so not from my turntable - but same sort of repeating bearing noise. Notably I also have the Counterparts release from SYEOR and it has the same noise - just fainter. Overall happy - but could have been a lot better given how long we have been waiting for a new release of this album!

What a good album this is. Rush was pretty hit or miss for me after their first couple albums. Bought this on a whim because I liked Roll the Bones. Solid front to back.

Happy to finally have a copy of this on vinyl. I don't have the OG pressing or 2015 200g reissue to compare it to, but, sounds good to my ears. Wish a anti-static inner sleeve was included from Rhino. The amount of static on the disc made it quite difficult to get out of the printed paper inner sleeve.

Vinyl is flat and clean, no dust. Sound is crisp and punchy. Inner sleeve is nice replica of the original. I’m very happy with this pressing, and packaging.
