Drake – Views

Very good album, some songs that pull on and seem more like filler though.

@rickybello the platters were in the paper sleeves that scuff the records the first time you pull them out. I do not like un-lined paper sleeves, and sometimes I'll cut them off the platter with scissors to avoid scuffing. They go straight in the trash regardless.

Since there are no reviews, I'll post my opinion. The mastering sounds different to me than when i play the digital files via streaming services, but it's hard to tell how much magic sauce is being added and where with digital files IMO. My copy has a lot of static and some pops at the beginning of the album when it's quiet, but that's common with those awful paper sleeves. I need to give the platters a bath. I think it sounds good. Canadian copy obtained via Amazon order.

2022 repress. I think it sounds pretty good, deep bass and crisp highs. No complaints.

Oh wow! I am freaking out. I didn't know what the cover photo was at first. I thought he was on a boat deck LOL. Of course, it's on the top of the CN Tower. But knowing how high it is, and he is just sitting there. How did they let him up there, let alone to take this photo. I'm not afraid of heights, truly, but if he couldn't get his old man bones back over the ledge there and took a trip down--Yikes!

Pretty solid album. Bass on this is lacking a bit for me.

pretty good record, don’t understand the hate. a lot of great tracks, not one that is unbearable. only a few mediocre tracks.

Views was Drake's career being at a dead end. Probably not my favorite album compared to his 2011 CD. Meh, just nothing good to find here.

Drake's new album, as successful as it is, is probably his most disappointing. The album does have some interesting production along with it, but at the same time I feel like he's not trying hard to have that same mentality that he had when he made IF YOU'RE READING THIS, IT'S TOO LATE or NOTHING WAS THE SAME. Overall, I can't deny this man's success, for there are a few good songs on here (Feel No Ways, Weston Road Flows, Child's Play, Views), but four songs out of nineteen does not really make a good album for me. I just hope he steps it up next time in the near future.
