Purchased this by mistake. Didn't realize it was the unofficial. Sealed copy if anyone is interested.

Gave a brand new copy a listen on a pair of Klipsch Forte I's with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. Having previously owned the 2005 Volcano picture disc pressing (Discogs Release #: 513594), I can say that this pressing sounds even worse. The noise floor is multiple stories too high, even for a picture disc. My Side A is unlistenable due to a not-so-centered pressing into the wax, which causes the tone arm and therefore the frequencies to undulate. Sides B and C are probably as good as one could ask for, sans the noise floor. Side D is the second worst, with an almost relentless combination of noise and distortion in the left channel that diminishes after the first few minutes. All things considered, while this remains audibly disappointing, it is visually unparalleled. The artwork on all four sides is quite crisp, and nothing short of breathtaking. Audiophiles be warned. Visual artists rejoice!

Have to go with 6/10. I've also got "10,000 days" from the same pressing and it sounds way better than this. The mix and the pressing are both substandard. Especially the A side. Something went terribly wrong there, However I do not regret buying it, it is a beatiful thing to have in your collection

I have this release...Soundquality 5/10, at the first spin I thought my record player was broken, like speed went up and down but in fact it is the record.

Edited 7 years agoFound this release at a local recordshop but since it's not an Official Release, I'm afraid it will be mediocre sound quality
Can anyone give us some insight about this press, please? Much appreciated.
