The very very very rare 1st press without the text "© B.D. 1968 which is found on nearly every vintage sleeve I see. Let’s put it this way, I have been collecting for over 40 years and have only seen a small handful in my lifetime. That includes the times I tried to order one on discogs as many sellers that list under the original with NO initials end up having them.
I do own 1 without but that is all I have seen thru the years. Note: I don’t own a record store so I would imagine an owner has seen more than I but I can’t imagine too many of these are left out there. -
Edited 2 years agoSuch a fantastic classic record. Mix of folk, rock, and country tinged Americana with exceptional organ work. Every time I listen to it I hear something new I like. My copy has seen better days but still plays really nice (something about this time period for Capitol records). Favorite tracks: "Chest Fever", "I Shall Be Released" and of course "The Weight"
