I have nothing else to compare to and I wasn’t all that impressed with other 2016 (2012 remaster) releases, but this one sounded as huge and clear as I expect this album to be. Thundering bass and warmth that really surrounds you. Vinyl was flat and super quiet. I don’t feel the need to find any other version.

Edited 4 months agoThis pressing is overall pretty great. There definitely is a bit of emphasis on lower mids and bass, giving it that sludgy sound which I think this album has always been known for. Overall this is a powerful pressing with good punch. The louder you turn it up the more you're rewarded. Probably not the best pressing you can get but I'd vouch it's probably one of the better price/performance ratios out there.

Edited 6 months agoSide two of this pressing has become one of my favourite sides of all my albums. It's just perfect. Side one is great but side two just hits all the right chords.

Sounds pretty good to me for the most part. However, there is a mastering issue on Children Of The Grave where the song gets significantly quieter about 30 seconds in or so. It’s very noticeable.

Probably can’t touch a clean early UK pressing but for what I paid for it absolutely superb if you crank it. Echoing the other reviews this has bass and 3 dimensional heft I’ve not heard before. only complaint is the ballad on side 2 lol

Good pressing, definitely a remaster. But it works for the vinyl. Much prefer this to a late 70s WB US pressing I used to have, but can't compare to UK original or anything.
