Poster below is misunderstanding how compression and loudness work. Making the record louder would not increase dynamics, it would only hurt them, and has nothing to do with the noise of the record or the "background" (that is a pressing concern).
Yes this record is cut a bit quiet, I did find myself turning up the volume more than normal, but I think the sound quality on this pressing is excellent. Punchy, dynamic, clear, and my copy was free of any glaring surface noise or pressing defects. I think this is an excellent reissue.

There is too much compression, so there is not enough dynamics in the sound. Thats why you have to make the sound louder, so in quiet places you can hear the noise of the record's mass. But in general a good inexpensive edition that you can have in the collection -
