I see a lot of people saying the mix sounds off, but it sounds fine to me. Does not sound like rock in rio good, but it's still pretty amazing! -
Edited 2 years agoiron maiden are old now. they are not going to sound like they did when they recorded live after death. what do you expect. this is iron maiden now how they sound , this record sounds ok to me. drums are loud but very good. no mix is going to make it sound better its what it is iron maiden playing live as they are now. I won't be keeping this record.

"Live After Dead", "Flight 666" and the 2013 reissue of "Maiden England" all have longer running times and were made as 2-LP sets with much better sound quality. Why three records for this if there wasn't going to be any improvement in the sound? The cover is also not the least practical. Not a record made for frequent listeners at all. Nevertheless, the concert itself is good and so is the performance. -
Edited 4 years agoGreat Live performance and setlist as usual from Maiden, but the mix isn't great. Drums and vocals are insanely loud. But the band still sounds great.

I like this one; I'd probably agree that it's not the absolute best live Maiden out there, but it's still bloody good. Great sleeve too.

Too much snare drum indeed, pity. Still a great live, but i will prefer the 2018 live set for sure ; ) -
Edited 7 years agoObvious listening for any Iron Maiden fan. The album however, is musically below usual Iron Maiden live performances. The drums are mixed very loud they obscure other instruments, guitar riffs are overdone and crowded. Disappointing.
