Edited one year agoFlat, one dimensional compressed CD sound pressed on vinyl. Absolutely superfluous.
Sounds very bad on a Technics turntable and on a High End thing as well. No depth, no separation. Sounds compressed and boring - especially side A. Side B is a bit better in all aspects IMO.
Very disappointing over all. Are other pressings better (UK or US)?
Nevertheless the music itself is not bad. -
I don't always agree with the reviews on here, but yeah-- this thing sounds like a brass band in a stairwell. Avoid!
-
Great album, poor vinyl pressing/mastering.
This has nothing to do with the diiference between Oasis style and the Flying Birds style.
I like Oasis and Noels High Flying Birds but the album on vinyl sounds flat, poor and muffled.
The worst official pressing of an album I own to date.
Such a shame as the songs are fantastic. -
My copy is an absolute disaster. Very disappointing quality of both packaging and sound. Glue leftovers on track A4, needle gets stucked on loop on B1 and B6, marks over entire B side, sleeve doesn't stick together either. Sound-wise pretty flat with many loud cracks and pops, almost unlistenable. So far my least favourite piece of my vinyl collection. Bought via official store.
-
Awful pressing....Sounds poor, obviously there has been no vinyl mastering at all, it sounds like a simple transfer from a CD.
On top of that, bought it new, and the surface is full of scratches and marks. Looks like if someone tried to clean the record with a metallic sponge.
Terrible. -
Awful pressing. Off centre, warped and various clicks and pops. Two copies, both sent back for them reasons alone. As for the sound quality, non-existent. Very dissapointed with sour mash. Going digital on this one.

not sure why everyone is jumping up and down about sound quality on this. It sounds fine. Anyone expecting an Oasis related project to be some sort of audiophile release is dreaming.
-
The music is great but the sound quality is really really bad, ill need to listen on spotify to see if its just the vinyl but i suspect something more serious
-
Same here - the quality is amazingly poor. It sounded like there is a german Schaeferhund under the needle - i checked my player several times as it varies how bad the sound is - everything was okay there - I brought the record back to the store. I hope a lot of people do ....and wait for acceptable quality !
