Old Back on Black release. Noisy pressing. Lots of clicks and pops.

This album is an underrated masterpiece of ambient music and neoclassical darkwave. Recorded in prison with only a midi keyboard, Varg doesn't looses emotional atmosphere known from early Burzum. It's not the same misanthropic black metal, the emotion on his ambient albums is much different. You don't feel the warrior's rage, rather sadness of pagan Gods rejected by modern world. Repetitive music hypnotizes you and makes you feel the beauty of forgotten days. It's a shame that something so beuatiful keeps getting criticized - ironically - for bad quality (by people who listen to lo-fi black metal).
