The second of three odds & ends albums by Bride
Released in 1994, LOST REELS II is the second compilation by the band, this time featuring demo versions of songs that would mostly appear on KINETIC FAITH (1991), SNAKES IN THE PLAYGROUND (1992) and SCARECROW MESSIAH (1994), but there are a couple of exceptions. For instance, "Same Old Sinner" previously appeared on the END OF THE AGE compilation from 1990, although I'm sure this is a different version, a demo. Also, the opening song is titled "Scarecrow," but it's not the same song as the one that appears on SCARECROW MESSIAH; it's an altogether different song. I suppose you could view it as an alternative version.
The original compilation was limited to 2000 copies, but it was remastered & rereleased in 2013 by Retroactive Records with superb new artwork, etc.
I'm not big on odds & ends albums, but Bride devotees who want everything the band recorded will appreciate the three LOST REELS compilations.
The disc runs 57:59.
