I have the original usa 1st press this sounds exactly the same but vinyl is less nosier so this is my go 2 cut of this album
-
Clean enough pressing but a very thin sounding mastering. No meat on the bones. Tonality tilted upwards.

This Fat Possum reissue/remaster sounds amazing. Just saying. I've played this record a lot(other pressings, ect), and this is prolly the best I've heard it sound
-
My pressing was beautiful I was gonna spend the extra 15 bucks to get the MOV copy but this copy was amazing played great on my LP-120 for some an entry level table..

My copy is good. There is a bit of noise between tracks, but less than average for vinyl at this price point. The songs are so loud that the noise is never a problem, anyways. No pops/clicks. Nice inner sleeve with lyrics. I recommend this.

So I have a wacky clear and gold marble pressing (I'm just guessing the colors because the variant isn't listed). Does anyone have any info on this?

Edited 5 years agoI’m very pleasantly surprised by this release. My original 80s copy experienced water damage on the jacket so I purchased this reissue to replace it. This is a fantastic replica of the original pressing. I can’t hear any appreciable difference between the two. And the media itself is first rate too. Nice thick jacket just like the original, interior printed sleeve also on thick glossy stock and the 180g vinyl is absolutely pristine. No surface marks, no factory scratches, dimples or sharp edges. The album is amongst the cleanest right out of the shrink-wrap that I’ve ever seen. Maybe I got lucky but it looks like this was put together in a clean room compared to most new releases I’ve picked up recently. Highly recommended. I doubt you can get a closer facsimile of the original.

Here's my verdict: I woke up Sunday morning to see that my cat puked all over this record leaving it with the puke equivalent to water damage. Prior to this, I gave it whirl and thought it was alright. Dull compared to the original but overall a quiet, reasonable pressing for the price. My cat had other thoughts, however.
