A wonderful date, a nice recording all the musicians are in top form on this post bop/ somewhat modal session … Buster Williams bass is well represented in the mix and sounds awesome, definitely a buy some top shelf stuff here!

Harold teams up with Bobby Hutcherson for a very superb musical outing. This was in the early stages of him evolving to a style that was more brooding, introspective. In this vein he frequently employed modalism to evoke that reflective style.
