Literally no point in paying these prices. The MOV pressing us just as good for half the price.

This should be repressed as a exclusive swap as they did it with ready to die this year!!!

Love this pressing, I feel that it's better balanced than the MOV version (which is very bass heavy on songs such as Survival of the fittest and with some distortion on some of the tracks). Also, the crackling noises here are better integrated in the songs. Definitive version of this album for me.

Usually I'm not a big fan of coloured vinyl but this one sounds and looks great.
It seems to be a rusty disc, which fits the grimy hip hop tracks perfectly.
This is an absolute classic and this release does it justice. No skipping whatsoever on my copy. The pops and crackles on the album all come from the samples, not from the actual record itself.

My favourite version of one of my favourite records of all time!

Ltd. To 1000 copies but I own copy 1063 not sure how they teach math over at VMP school of Storfer but yeah otherwise it's a really nice release

No skips here; I wouldn't be surprised if it is highly dependent on one's setup. Not the quietest vinyl in my collection, but otherwise an excellent sounding mastering.

My copy skips on track "The Start Of Your Ending" once in beginning but otherwise it sounds fine.

                  Edit:
Setup used: Technics SL-1500MK1 with Sansui 661 receiver and Klipsch RP150M speakers

Similar to the ACM release as far as style and packaging goes, but without any of the quality issues of the wax. Quality is crisp and dynamic; important for this album which has many quiet moments. cut at lower volume, (but not too heavy on the bass) which allows you to play with the EQ with my flexibility. The MOV is cut a little more towards the higher end and a bit louder
The bass is on point (absolutely necessary here). Discs weigh ~150g (which is probably going to be the major knock on this release)

high quality jacket, almost identical to their Piñata release:
                    -heavy tip-on style jacket
-wider, where you can get each disc out easily, but they dont just fall out
-Cover is not glossy like the MOV version, matte color with sharp contrast
-The back cover is black, which I think has a nicer look by far (but still not as good as the OG back cover)
-Foil stamped and numbered, per VMP norm
-came in 2 poly lined paper sleeves (bonus, although i switch mine out)

The sound is fantastic, perfect for this record. It’s not overly bright… they still kept that grimey muddled feel of the original album without compromising the overall quality. Dead wax is extremely quiet; complete silence. The interludes there's no surface noise getting in the way… just absolutely bone chilling silence, you feel like you’re in the booth during these moments. It crackles exactly when it’s supposed to: on Survival of The Fittest, Eye for an Eye… you get that same record static that is picked up from Havoc’s samples. In the case of Survival, the static pops are actually more prominent, on Eye the static is more natural than what i've previously heard (which at times could be annoying with how frequent they are). both are examples of nice touches that for an audiophile make huge differences. The MOV isn’t nearly as good in these areas, and esp with the deadwax. I've now experienced that there is audible surface noise on the MOV, but mostly present in the skits or the beat drop at the end of Trifle life. The Grave Prelude is an immersive experience; the rain, the vocals are extremely crisp and natural. Party Over is another great example of where the wax shines, the ominous bells pulsating from left to right channel. My only major complaint is with how the source recording was cut to transition between sides (it’s not unique to the VMP pressing). I hate how the Just Step Prelude starts Side B with the fade out from Eye For An Eye. It feels disted. I would have liked to see this fixed for the vinyl by accessing the original mixes and controlling the fade outs between sides like Wes Garland did for the Ironman cuts, but it’s with the source used and is present on all 2xLP versions of this album. This can't be fixed without access to the original source files.

There were concerns out there about the release before it came out because it was getting pressed at MRP. I’m happy to deflate those concerns… this is on par with the MOV release as far as the pressing quality goes. VMP staffer confirmed that they "made tweaks on masters to make sure they sounded good". I wish I knew more about what that meant. Regardless there are absolutely zero issues with my pressing. I cant now first hand confirm which is better between the MOV & VMP releases…. it’s close but in an A/B the VMP separates itself clearly. This release feels like a cross between the ACM and MOV. Each have some advantages, but from a musician/listener experience the VMP pressing is top notch.
