Edited 5 months agoNot bad but has that same veiled aspect to it that many pressing of this album suffer from. Miss You in particular has the light blanket over the speakers effect. You can tell RL pushed up the bass on other songs but that freshness and better clarity is not like a US OG. Monarch is the best of those OG I have.

nice dynamic stage and well balanced. and dead quiet indeed. artwork is also very well done with a heavy sleeve.

I initially was very underwhelmed when I first acquired this about a year ago. But I went back tonight and gave it a spin, and it's not as bad as I thought it once was. Quite solid actually! Very balanced sound, quiet pressing, and makes for a very nice listening experience.

I gave this version a spin yesterday and it‘s really fun to listen to!...dead quiet, rich in dynamics, especially the tracks with less electric guitars, grab this while it‘s still comparably „cheap“...remastered by Bob Ludwig (no hint whether this has an analogue or digital source), but either way: sounds great!
