Really love this album. I find myself coming back to it regularly. Definitely one of his best productions. Oberlove is special.

Edited 4 months agoDoes anyone know the difference between this “limited first edition” and the other Be Up A Hello LP listed here on Discogs? Is it just the sticker? Everything else looks the same.
Terminal Slam is incredible. -

This guy is mad. Starts off real pretty and nice and goes off from there. Record sounds great but a little low. The die cuts are cool but a little cumbersome in the same pocket as the disk.

Edited 4 years agoI got one of the first pressing ones, great and aggressive album, although my copy had quite a bit of surface noise on first play. It got a fair bit worse towards the end of side 1, and was overall much cleaner on side 2, though not entirely absent.

Awesome encore by one of the great triumvirate of game changers of the 90's (aphex n autechre). Peerless talent. Outrageous fills. Absolutely brilliant album.

the squarepusher album i've been wanting for a while. the first two tracks are nice, but then the album just gets better and glitchier as it goes on. i love how mekrev bass incorporates stuff from the "fracture" remix of vortrack. i also love how the track sounds like the drums are about to literally fall apart, slowing in tempo slightly while the track chugs on behind them, then speeding back up. ugh. love it. reminds me a ton of steinbolt off of UV. also was not expecting some excellent forays into ambient at the end of each side, so those two were a nice touch!
i personally love the packaging. the diecut sleeve is great, the prints are amazing (love that one with tom with the crystal lmao) and yeah the LP sounds amazing. even if the LP is quiet, the dynamics are still on point and the highs and lows are still nice and balanced! plus, i guess having it on a single LP as opposed to double keeps the price down, so thanks tom!! -
Edited 5 years agogood music, but something prevents you from falling in love with this album, perhaps because sqrpshr recorded his best album in 1996 and nothing better can be thought of

This sounds amazing on my setup even with adjusting the eq on my receiver. The packaging is pretty neat but minimal.

Edited 5 years agoIf you like Squarepusher you will like this record. The LP seems a bit quiet, likely due to the long run time being squashed onto 1 LP. I had my (normally beefy) headphone amp mashed to the max. It would have been nice to have this on 2 LPs but the mastering is pretty good otherwise.
