Notes
This release is unique because:
- The Garrod gatefold sleeve has a black round "Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon" sticker, blue EMI Harvest logos inside (white on later issues), with the Garrod printing date-code 7303.
- On the back top right corner (1E 064 o 05249) is centered between SHVL 804 and "stereo" (later issues have it left aligned).
- Each label has "Made in Gt Britain" printed twice, below the triangle and in the rim text (later issues do not have "Made in Gt Britain" below the triangle).
- The labels credit "The Gramophone Company Ltd" below "Side 1" & "Side 2", yet credit "EMI Records Ltd" in the rim text (earlier issues credit "The Gramophone Company Ltd" in the rim text).
Comes with two A2-sized posters and two stickers.
Exists a similar release The Dark Side Of The Moon, with slightly different inside gatefold colours: on bottom left corner, EMI Harvest logos and all the text info around them are white instead of blue.
Note: The 3rd pressing should have any variation of A2/B2 A3/B3 A3/B2 or A2/B3 stampers in the run-out and "EMI Records Ltd" in the rim text. Variations with greater numbers than 2 or 3 in either of the stampers indicate a 4th pressing or later.

if anybody has a spare of the posters and stickers then DM me… my recent purchase from a record shop of this press didn’t come with them:(

Just purchased a NM copy of this album and compared with 30th and AUS Quad. All sound great in their own way but the A3B3 has a full deep character with the best soundstage. Some help please with a question- my copy has all characteristics of this pressing but matrix of APD §2 side one and L.I.I side two is not on the discogs database. Does this suggest something not legit or that it is simply a matrix that is legit but not listed. Thanks.

A3/B3 pressing sounds great and quite. Though I connected my turntable with my katana gen3, which is a guitar amplifier with a stereo output, the sounds is still awesome and balanced , no pops and noises.

Just got my A3/B3 out of the ultrasonic bath and I must say... it sounds really good. Great balance. Live and punchy. Crisp and clear.

Edited one year agoJeez I wish people would identify their records properly and read the notes on here, they are extensive people! Helpful hint if you have an A5/B5 its not a 3rd pressing so why are you trying to sell it here?

Here we have a great sounding UK A3/B3 pressing. This is the best sounding pressing along side with 1.st UK A2/B2 that I know.

Was able to snag an EX/EX copy off EBay back in January for under $150 with posters no stickers. This pressing is the one to own! Dynamics are unbelievable and it’s hands down the best version I own. It blows away my 30th anniversary, AUS Quad, and 75 US press. With an original A2/B2 being astronomically expensive and likely unobtainable, I’m fortunate to have this my collection.

Hello everyone. I’m hoping someone can help me. I have a copy of this LP which has all the details as above except that it is an EMI Harvest pressing, doesn’t have Made in Gt Britain printed under the prism and has the following in the A side runout. SHVL 804 A-10 H-L CMV HARRY
I would be very grateful if someone can identify this pressing as it doesn’t fit any of those listed that I can see. I’m probably going to show my ignorance but I hope someone can help.

Edited 3 years agoHi everyone. I publish this question (and I hope it will become a comment) in all the pages of DSOTM, from the 2th to the 7th issue, because I have to remove a doubt. It's a question I haven't found an answer to on Google. Are the posters and stickers inserts identical to the first UK edition or does something change? I have the first edition A2 / B2 (solid light blue prism), but I need to complete it with posters and stickers, so I was thinking of getting them from the reissue, which are cheaper. It's possible?

Hello, I need some help identifying my copy. My copy almost exactly matches this one with the labels, and the outer sleeve, so it is the closest I could find to the one I own. The original inner sleeve has the patent no. and made in gt. britain in a different font. Additionally, in the dead wax of side 1 at 6 o'clock there is AUP printed, but the font looks strange. Also at 12 o'clock there is a small written 3 printed in. On side 2 at 6 o'clock there is LU, but like AUP, the font is weird. Also at around 1 o'clock there looks to be two small dots next to each other. Mine is A-3 B-3, and everything else is almost the same, but this extra deadwax info is confusing me
