Edited 3 years agoCan anyone tell me please, where 4:13 Dream was recorded? Name of the studio / country.

Such a shame... The only LP available for this album is simply bad. Sound is flat, no relief; dynamic is very low... All is boring to listen.
I'm a real fan of The Cure but I have to be objective, this is the worst LP pressing of The Cure collection.
Obviously, if you're a Cure's fan, you have to buy this LP but, don't expect a real pleasure to listen this vinyls. -
Glad I only paid around 5 euro for the CD . Mediocre album, it’s time to say stop here. Like a walk on the desert. a couple of Good songs , but the rest? Naah. It’s the end of the road, I really hope.

Edited 4 years agobig fan for more than 35 years, I never really liked this album except few songs , and I have to say I just played it in the last couple of days , and I really changed my opinion . it s a brilliant album. I just don't like the Geffen production .

I need to recant my statement about his record never thrilling me... Just played this for the first time in a long while and it's pretty fantastic. My copy of this pressing sounds wonderful, too.

I love The Cure, perhaps my favorite band of all. I'll say this record never thrilled me as far as content, although there are some gems that are great live. As far as the pressing, my copy is fine all round. I don't have the complaints others seem to have. And it's a record I'm going to give a few spins to, seeing as I haven't played it a whole lot. I love having music from a favorite band that will be "new" to me.

Edited 4 years agoI don't know, this isn't a TERRIBLE album with at least 3 good tracks (first two are the best), but not a great album at all. 2008 was a weird time for music (much better than their 2004 era however). The CD master on the US release is kinda crappy too, although not as bad as the loudness war mess of Bloodflowers!) Haven't heard the LP but I assume it will be muddy like everyone is saying.

Can't help it, the album is ok for me, nothing more, nothing less, but what really bugs me, is that the Drums sound like a plastic Fishapryce set.
-
lol this album was trash all around; music to pressing quality. literally sounded like a well used twenty year old copy upon first play. a couple okay songs, but hoo boy.
