This collection of beautiful sounds deserved to be remastered by Abbey Road half-speed, Mofi or Analogue Production. I'm desperate for a good-quality vinyl reissue. -
This record is incredible. I’ve been listening to it regularly for the last 20 years or so. I have the original American and this original British press. As a side note, I used to see Harold Budd almost every week without knowing who he was - I worked at a library in his neighborhood and he’d stop by to usually check out art and architecture magazines. I happened to see a picture of him with the Cocteau Twins towards the end of my time at the library and thought, “Holy shit! That’s Mr. Budd!” I never got the chance to interact with him knowing who he was as an artist/musician. He’ll always be Mr. Budd to me. RIP -
Christ! I bought my NM OG first press about five years ago for £20 right here. Shocked to see prices now.
Mine has a gold foil lettered ‘promo’ stamp o the back of the sleeve.
A landmark and wonderful album in any genre. -

Edited 4 years agoI couldn't disagree more with the below. To each his own I guess. You can listen and decide for yourself. This is one of my top 3 Lps out of a 1000 that I own. Great to meditate to at the end of the day and be reminded that just experiencing beautiful sound makes life good. RIP Harold Budd (Dec. 8, 2020). Budd's White Arcades has a similar piano approach and is a gem.

The best of the Ambient series, always sounds like a scenic drive near a mountain lake on a spring day to me. Crisp and echoey production, just gorgeous.
