Possibly my favorite New Order record. Here they are keeping things dubby, druggy and chill. Nice, quiet pressing certainly helps.

Since this is running on 33 I really cant see why the bbc did not include the first peel session, which is very similar in sound and feel. Would have been perfect to have the first session - side A, second - side B, just like the reissue from 1990, which has become quite pricey. An intentional waste of ressources to make more money?

This entry states limited to 2000 copies; is this in Europe, or worldwide? RSD.com for US states 7500 copies.

Very happy to buy it today. Been having NO phase lately and was suprised how different and interesting this version sound. Intact sound quality too. Agree that 5-8-6 is just amazing

Edited 4 years agoWonderful reissue. Whisper quiet vinyl with nice, beefy bottom end.
The addition of the first session would have made for a top-shelf edition, but the fact that it came out at all is a blessing to those that can't find an OP. This version of 5-8-6 is worth the price of ission alone. -
