Reviews

This album may not be one of their best, but it catches a bad reputation—not least likely because of the disco version of “Here Comes the Night,” which can be easily skipped as the first song on side two. Besides that, there are some wonderful songs from Dennis and Carl, especially “Angel Come Home” and “Love Surrounds Me.” There’s some truly beautiful music here, alongside some meh. Overall, this is an album worth owning, especially for Beach Boys fans. Carl on “Full Sail” is serene to the max.

As for the pressing and dynamics, this one is ideal—it sounds great!

What the person below me said. If you like the weird side of the Beach Boys then snap up a bargain, at least half of it is fantastic.

I enjoy this album more than the crap reviews it has gotten over the years would suggest I should. It's got some really nice tunes. Yes, it's not Pet Sounds and not even Holland or Surf's Up. But, it's a good listen and worth having.
