Borrowed this album from a friend. Didn’t get it at first. Took me a couple of spins but then….man what a sensational music. Ordered this pressing right away. Super dynamic! Like it was recorded yesterday.

Does someone knows if certain copies came with handmade/altered inserts?

I love this debut LP by my favorite band of all time! Still as cryptic and hauntingly trippy as it was in 1970! I still have all my old Amon Duul LPs all bought very early 70s, mostly through Jem Imports, & after 45 years of playing in very altered states, they are unscratched! After running across this site I got out my edition of Phallus Dei, & it is the one with the band's picture on the cover. It says Sunset & in another place 'Contemporary Series' with the wavy lines logo on both the record & the cover, SLS 50257 on the LP, c 1969, but it also says this on the bottom right hand side of the cover: Sunset Records Mortimer House 37/41 Mortimer Street London W1 A Productof Liberty/UA Records Ltd. London England. The fidelity of this particular vinyl is awesome. Later many of the early Amon Duul LPs were only marked as United Artists. Just after CDs came out I found them on CD & bought their first 5 or 6 great releases as well.
