Maybe I am lucky and got a good pressing. Or maybe it is my degritter ultrasonic cleaner. My copy is distortion free. Very little surface noise. Everything is clear and sonically pleasing.

Edited 5 years agoIf you have playability issues with this LP: Clean it, clean it, and when you think it's clean, clean it again. If you have a friend or local record shop with an ultrasonic record cleaner, avail yourself of it.
Out of the package, my A/B looked visually fine, but A had insane surface noise and B was super-distorted and had skips halfway through Festival (when it gets loud). C/D were fine but a little poppy and clicky. After repeated, aggressive cleaning, all four sides now sound excellent.
Also be sure to clean your stylus if you've played without extensive cleaning, because whatever got all over these records at pressing will get dug out and build up on your stylus extremely quickly. -
I agree with most of the other comments. Right away I noticed distortion on side A. Some songs are worse than others. I definitely do not get pops or clicks, but there is definitely some distortion going on. I played with the eq settings a little, and it seems the bass level is the culprit.

Edited 7 years agoNot pop, not clicks..great sound but don't forget to clean your stylus because a simple dust can give a saturated and distorted sound on this vinyl !! Nice first pressing !

I am only experiencing some clicking on Fljótavík and some dynamic parts are more bassy, but I don't have the best speakers for vinyl quality. Some old juke box with no eq settings

You guys, this record was manufactured by United Record Pressing. That's why it's distorted and full of noise.
